SimCair is a sealed-envelope mattress technology that has been licensed and sold in the Irish medical channel for seven-plus years, with real revenue and two institutional clinical evidence documents behind it: a Cork Institute of Technology permeability study and an Atrium Medical Centre Heerlen quality-improvement evaluation. Patrick Noel Daly, the Cork-born inventor who is the named inventor on the foundational patents behind the technology, built and licensed the product into Ireland's medical bedding channel and is now bringing it to the United States under the DreamCair and SimCair Inside brands as well.

The opportunity is to replicate the Ireland licensing model at scale in the US: a hospitality wedge, cruise and hotel post-COVID hygiene programs, generating early revenue while the medical channel develops through group purchasing contracts and hospital-acquired-condition procurement framing. Common Ground came on as a fractional partner to push the US launch and help structure the raise NuWay needs to fund it, with Prince Capital running the placement side of that raise.

As of September 2026, NuWay Global is in contract with Common Ground. The engagement is a commission agreement covering the business we bring to the US; the work moved from a prospect brief to an active engagement this month.

Why we are in it

Real product, real Irish licensee, real revenue stream over seven-plus years. Real clinical evidence: the Cork Institute of Technology study found zero permeability against MRSA, E. coli, and C. difficile at a challenge dose far above realistic clinical contamination, and the Atrium Medical Centre Heerlen evaluation recorded zero decubitus ulcers in a 27-patient high-risk cohort. The FDA pathway is the bright spot: SimCair is Class I, 510(k)-exempt as a non-powered support surface, which puts medical-channel market entry inside 60 to 90 days. And the strategy the founder wants, licensing-first, an Intel-inside model into existing mattress brands rather than a direct-to-consumer play, is the strategy we would have recommended anyway.

The honest open items sit alongside the bull case rather than under it. The standard pre-raise diligence items, IP, trademark, licensee scope and the founder's record, are being closed as part of the engagement.

Problem

A hygienic sleep-surface technology with seven-plus years of real revenue in one country and no presence yet in the largest market for it: no US brand, no US sales motion, no capital raised, and a deck and financial story built for an earlier stage of the company.

What we did

Read both clinical studies in full, right-size the market claim to what the evidence actually supports, and structure a US market-entry engagement that runs capital, brand and commercial doors as one motion rather than as separate vendors.

Result

In contract as of September 2026: a commission agreement on the business Common Ground brings to the US. The work moves from a prospect brief to an active engagement.

SimCair is not just a better mattress to a hospital CFO. Framed correctly, it is protection against a seven figure annual penalty.Jesse Fowler
